To promote their new album *Chaosmongers*, NervoChaos is releasing a second single: a music video for the track “Lorde dos Mortos” (Lord of the Dead). Throughout their 30-year career, NervoChaos has always carried the spirit of Brazil in their music, but now the band is doing something unprecedented: for the first time, the full weight, atmosphere, and identity of NervoChaos find their voice in our native tongue, marking their first-ever recording sung entirely in Portuguese.

Produced and scripted by Rodrigo Aragão—a titan of Brazilian horror cinema and the heir to the legacy of the master José Mojica Marins (the legendary “Zé do Caixão”)—”Lorde dos Mortos” was created entirely in Aragão’s own studio. Clocking in at 4 minutes and 36 seconds of Death Metal, the track tells a horror story about a sovereign, fantastical entity from the realm of the dead—one capable of bringing back to life those who are no longer among the living.

The final result is a visually and musically striking production; it combines Brazilian extreme metal with the best of national horror cinema. While it makes no reference to any specific form of spirituality, it raises questions about how humanity grapples with death.

With three decades of an unbroken career and a brand-new release, NervoChaos reaffirms its commitment to extreme metal and the power of the global underground scene.
