Chaosmongers (2026)

In 2026, on the verge of marking 30 uninterrupted years in the business, NervoChaos is preparing to release its latest album, titled *Chaosmongers*, and return to the road—their natural habitat where the band organically unleashes its full ferocity, demonstrating why Brazil is a powerhouse in the global metal scene. With *Chaosmongers*—their fourteenth studio album—NervoChaos expands the horizons of Death Metal, making chaos their primary creative source. The album features 12 tracks: 11 original songs and a tribute to the legendary Brazilian band Ratos de Porão. It is a work that connects the cosmos, the occult, and human resilience. *Chaosmongers* is open to various interpretations, rejecting linear narratives and allowing the listener to create their own reading. An entity traversing death explores unknown planes, confronts suffering, and becomes the sovereign of a realm beyond our comprehension. It portrays a personal journey of downfall, self-discovery, transformation, and empowerment. This duality permeates the entire album. The compositions serve as narrative, atmosphere, and reflection, offering diverse experiences within a single work. Chaos appears not merely as destruction, but as a force capable of breaking boundaries and creating new realities.

The album was produced by Edu Lane, recorded in São Paulo by Adriano Daga, and mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström. The singles “Embrace Chaos,” “The Devil’s Man,” and “Lorde dos Mortos” showcase various facets of this concept. “Lorde dos Mortos” marks a milestone for the band, as it is the first song written and recorded in Portuguese, enriching their identity without sacrificing intensity. Meanwhile, the visual identity of *Chaosmongers*, created by Niklas Sundin, combines imagery of the vast universe with cosmic explosions and the energy of the crowd at the band’s live shows. The central idea is that the chaotic force driving galaxies and transforming worlds also manifests in the human experience—through creation, overcoming adversity, or collective expression.

“Chaosmongers” showcases the band’s evolution, blending a strong, traditional old-school vibe—without sounding dated or like a mere retro project—with heavy riffs and a mix of Thrash Metal influence and Death Metal brutality. The riffs are varied and focused, free of unnecessary embellishments and serving the music first and foremost, while exploring universal themes that transcend cultural, spiritual, and existential boundaries. It is more than just an album; it is an invitation to view chaos as the starting point of transformation.

Transmogrified Epiphany (2024)

The veteran extreme metal band NervoChaos, hailing from São Paulo, has just surprised fans with the release of a new album titled *Transmogrified Epiphany*—a powerful tribute to the bands that shaped the underground scene and deeply influenced NervoChaos’s own sound. Featuring 11 tracks of pure sonic devastation, the record presents new versions of metal and hardcore classics, offering an “epiphanic transformation” of the songs while retaining their original essence.

The album’s title reflects a creative transformation. Simply put, *Transmogrified Epiphany* signifies modification. In this context, “epiphany” carries no religious connotation; rather, it represents the desire to reshape underground anthems, giving them a fresh sound while preserving their core characteristics. The project celebrates bands that have left an indelible mark on the metal genre and stands as a testament to the strength and versatility of the current NervoChaos lineup.

Produced by Addasi Adassi in collaboration with the band, the album was mixed and mastered by the renowned Brendan Duffey, ensuring a sound that balances heaviness with clarity. The artwork—always a highlight of NervoChaos releases—was created by Alcides Burn, an artist known for his striking work within the metal scene.

Chthonic Wrath (2023)

July 2021. The pandemic was still hitting the globe hard, especially Brazil, where the death toll had surpassed 30,000. Local death metal heavyweights NervoChaos had been stuck at home for a long time. Accustomed to touring for most of the year but denied that opportunity due to COVID-19 restrictions, the band had a brand-new album fully written and ready to record—even before their then-current album, *All Colors of Darkness*, had hit the shelves. Rather than waiting for the perfect moment dictated by the music industry or sitting idly by, the Brazilians headed into Abracadaver Studio with producers Addasi Adassi and Adriano Daga (Angra, Almah, Torture Squad, etc.) and recorded what would become their next album. *Chthonic Wrath* was born. Just two months later, American producer Brendan Duffey—who had previously worked with Nervosa, Angra, and Andre Matos, to name a few—received the 14 tracks for mixing and mastering and was thoroughly impressed. With *Chthonic Wrath*, NervoChaos captured their death metal essence in all its brutality and technical glory, yet infused it with renewed energy and heaviness. How can a group in its 26th year remain so hungry for more, so passionate about death metal, and driven enough to unearth riffs so vile, rhythms so vicious, and vocal attacks so violent that they shake the listener to the core? Above all, there are subtle melodic nuances and a superb acoustic guitar interlude (fittingly titled “Tomb Mold”) recorded by traditional Brazilian music researcher Ricardo Vignini. NervoChaos may be a seasoned band with thousands of hours of stage time under their belts. Some might even call them “old.” Yet, they are far from relinquishing their pivotal role in Brazilian—and South American—death metal, continuing to fire on all cylinders when it comes to truly furious, no-nonsense extreme music. The band has achieved cult status within the music scene through 26 years of hard work, delivering a unique sonic extravaganza. They have released ten studio albums, the latest being *All Colors of Darkness*—their first with Emanzipation Productions—which came out in 2022. NervoChaos also tours the globe constantly to promote their releases, playing around 100 shows a year—ranging from clubs to major festivals and everything in between.

All Colors of Darkness (2022)

Countries abroad tend to view South American nations as “exotic.” But we can assure you there is nothing exotic about a large portion of the population struggling for basic necessities, high crime rates, and successive governments doing nothing to change the situation. That is why bands like NervoChaos possess an aura of brutality and authenticity. They aren’t playing “South American death metal”; they simply took their harsh reality—combined with influences from death metal acts like Morbid Angel, Vader, and Sinister—and spat it out as aggressively as possible. With a 25-year career, NervoChaos belongs to the older generation of the Brazilian extreme metal scene—alongside Sepultura, Krisiun, Rebaelliun, and Abhorrence, to name a few—and possesses the experience, pedigree, and technical know-how to tear up the stage. That is exactly what *All Colors of Darkness*—the tenth (!) studio album from the São Paulo-based quintet—delivers: dark death metal, crafted in the most abrasive style imaginable, featuring the brutal atmosphere one expects from Brazilian extreme metal bands. With lyrical themes revolving around the “darkest realms of Satanism and black magic,” NervoChaos summons “death metal” like few bands can today—combining a brutal, technical approach with genuine thematic depth. You could practically see vultures circling outside the rehearsal room while the songs were being written, but ultimately, *All Colors of Darkness* is pure death metal and darkness. *All Colors of Darkness* is released today on CD and digital formats via Emanzipation Productions in Europe and the US, and via Tumba Records/Xaninho Discos/Voice Music in Brazil. The LP edition (pressed on black and transparent orange vinyl, each limited to 300 copies) will be available internationally in May and in Brazil during the second half of the year. Fed up with all the fads flooding the scene, NervoChaos was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in the spring of 1996, with the aim of creating aggressive and chaotic extreme music.

NervoChaos has achieved cult status in the music scene thanks to 25 years of hard work, delivering a sonic extravaganza in their own unique style. The group has released nine studio albums and constantly tours the globe to promote their work, playing around 100 shows a year—ranging from clubs to festivals.

The lineup features Brian Stone (vocals), Luiz ‘Quinho’ Parisi (guitar), Woesley Johann (guitar), Pedro Lemes (bass), and Edu Lane (drums). Check out some reactions to *All Colors of Darkness* from around the world:
